This is a list of possible places and things to do on future outings. None are scheduled.
- On top of Kennesaw Mountain for sunrise. See what kind of a picture of the city we can get.
- Cooper Furnace, Picket’s Mill and/or Pine Mountain West before the leaves are back on the trees. Great for B&W photos.
- Picket’s Mill around August. There’s a Three Bird Orchid that blooms there (I think in August), that’s not suppose to be there. We’d have to get permission to go off trail.
- Vineyard Mountain when the flowers begin to bloom. Just go to the overlook.
- Pine Mountain West in the spring. There are several places on the trail that could make good photos.
- Anywhere on a foggy morning.
- Cloudland Canyon and Fort Mountain. These would be good places to go in the fall.
- Allatoona Pass. This is one of my favorite places for photography that is close by. Maybe set up to see if we can catch a picture of the Osprey (or is that a eagle’s nest).
- On August 21st there will be a solar eclipse that goes through Northeast Georgia. Plan a trip to catch pictures of the eclipse.
- On March 11 & 12 the NASCAR Racing Experience (formally Richard Petty Racing Experience) will be at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. This would be a good chance to practice "panning".
